"Lillie Pad Platter" by Silva de Majo

from 128.00

Silva's stunning and unique Lillie Pad platters are individually handmade with Paper Porcelain and finished off with transparent glaze edging.

There is a third firing including the option of gold or platinum lustre applied to the edges.

Silva cast a Lillie Pad leaf (found discarded in the compost bin outside the Waterlily Glasshouse in Kew Gardens!) in plaster to be used as a mould.

Approx dimensions  9.5” x 9.5” (240mmx240mm)

The high silica content of the clay body ensures a self glazing transition giving impermeability to water, although Silva recommends caution with very colourful food types such as pomegranate as it can stain.

Dishwasher safe without lustre edging.

Silva's beautiful platters are made to order so the lead time is 2-3 weeks

UK postage costs included (please contact us direct for international postage charges)
